Strategy Protection

An important characteristic for strategy software (or any software for that matter) is to make reverse engineering (disassembly) attempts time consuming and uneconomical.

1. allowing customers to trust strategy authenticity and integrity.
2. allowing authors to better protect license fees and ROI.

Without this we're at risk of, not only, license fee infringement but fake strategies that historically look ahead and/or modify the past to create results that are not possible with real-time data.

Important note on Obfuscation

1. Obfuscation attempts to provide security through obscurity, however, given sufficient time and skill, any code can eventually be hacked. The purpose of obfuscation is to make the hacking process time consuming and uneconomical.

2. Obfuscation does not cover up flaws that you could have been addressed but helps prevent the deliberate malicious introduction of modifications after the fact that facilitate license infringement, loss of intellectual property etc.
